Voice qualification
The lead, called quickly. The salesperson, prepared.
AI phone lead qualification means a voice agent that calls people who have explicitly asked to be contacted, asks the qualifying questions set by the sales team and completes the record in the CRM. The decision on how to continue the conversation stays with the salesperson.
Leads go cold before anyone calls them
A lead who has filled in a form is most interested in the first few hours. But salespeople are in meetings or busy with quotes, so the first call happens late and often takes a long time just to find out the enquiry is not a fit.
- First contact comes after the customer has already spoken to other suppliers
- Salespeople lose time on enquiries that do not match what you offer
- Each salesperson asks different questions, and CRM records are uneven
Who it makes sense for
- Sales teams that receive many form enquiries and cannot call them all quickly
- B2B companies that need the same basic information before a quote
- Property developers, private schools or service providers with enquiries of varying seriousness
- Teams that want qualification criteria applied the same way to every lead
What the agent does on the qualification call

- 02
Qualifying questions

- 03
Scoring against explicit criteria

- 04

Updates the contact with the answers, the call summary and the suggested next step.
- 05

For suitable leads, it offers a slot from the responsible salesperson's calendar.

What information phone qualification uses
- The contact form with the consent tick box for a call, and proof of it
- The list of qualifying questions and classification criteria, written by the sales team
- A short description of what you offer, so the agent can explain why it is calling
- Salespeople's calendars, if the agent proposes meetings
- Permitted calling hours and the exclusion list

Control and transparency
Where a person decides
- Qualification criteria are written and approved by the sales team, not inferred by the agent
- The agent's classification is a recommendation; the salesperson decides whether and how to continue
- Prices, discounts and commercial terms are discussed only with a person
- Leads classified as “not a fit” are reviewed periodically to correct the criteria
Limits and working rules
- It calls only people who have explicitly asked or agreed to be contacted; we do not work with cold lists
- Some people prefer to speak directly to a person; the agent accepts the request and passes the lead to a salesperson
- Vague answers on the phone (“it depends”, “we'll see”) lead to an uncertain classification, marked as such
- The voice is synthetic, and some answers may be only partly understood; that is why the record includes the call summary for checking
- Qualification criteria must not include discriminatory elements; we review them together
How we measure phone lead qualification
We agree the indicators together before launch and track them afterwards. The values depend on the process, the data and the volume.
- Time to first contact
- The gap between the enquiry and the call, from the CRM log
- Salespeople's agreement with the classification
- Salespeople flag in the CRM when they disagree with the agent's classification
- Record completeness
- The share of records with all qualification answers filled in
- Requests to transfer to a person
- Counted from calls and analysed to adjust the script
How we implement voice qualification, step by step
- 01
The team's criteria
We work with the salespeople to write the questions and rules by which a lead is considered a fit.
- 02
Form and consent
We check that the form clearly asks for consent to a call and that it reaches the CRM along with the lead.
- 03
Test calls
Salespeople play the role of customers, and we adjust the questions and how the agent handles vague answers.
- 04
Pilot and calibration
The agent calls a portion of the leads, and salespeople compare the classifications with their own judgement before expansion.
Use cases
The scenarios below are conceptual examples, built to illustrate what is possible. They do not describe implementations delivered by WEB-AZ.
- Solar panels
Quote requests from the website
The agent asks about the type of building, approximate consumption and the county, then books a technical visit only if the salesperson confirms the record.
Conceptual example - B2B software
Demo requests
For each demo request, the agent finds out the team size, the system used today and the decision timeline, and the salesperson prepares the demo based on the record.
Conceptual example - Private school
Information requests from parents
The agent finds out the child's age and the year of interest and proposes a visit; questions about fees and scholarships go to the school office.

Frequently asked questions
How does phone qualification differ from a written AI qualification agent?
Phone qualification asks the questions in a call, shortly after the lead has asked to be called, and completes the CRM record based on the answers. The AI agent for lead qualification works in writing, for example in chat or based on form enquiries. The criteria can be the same, and in both cases the decision stays with the salesperson.
Who does the agent call?
Only people who have asked to be contacted and explicitly agreed to the call, for example through a form. We follow the rules on commercial communications, permitted calling hours and the exclusion list.
What happens when the agent cannot classify a lead?
It marks the lead as uncertain, notes why and passes it to a salesperson. The agent does not reject leads based on an uncertain classification.
How is leads' data protected?
The person is told they are speaking to an automated assistant and whether the call is recorded. We collect only the information needed for qualification, and CRM access and the retention period are agreed together.
Can the agent make offers or negotiate?
No. The agent collects information and can book a conversation. The offer, the price and the negotiation stay with the salesperson.
Can we change the qualifying questions later?
Yes. The criteria are reviewed periodically, based on feedback from salespeople and on leads that were misclassified.
